I actually agree with Gary's point about Christina Aguilera; she's constantly grouped with Britney Spears as if they're mortal enemies, despite the fact Christina produces meaningful music, contrasting with Britney's meaningless (but popular) music. Christina Aguilera doesn't sell well in the UK really, even though I'd say she has one of the most incredible voices I've ever heard. It's hard to suggest many underrated artists though, a lot of them would be really obscure to most people. I think Daniel Merriweather should be much more successful than he is, but I think he's probably going to become very successful in the coming months anyway.

Kelly Clarkson, it annoys me how under rated she is. She should be right up there with people.

Everytime I say I like Kelly Clarkson people go 'Who?' then I say 'Since U been gone' and they all go 'Ohhh her!'
I suppose it is what Kelly wants, people to like her music but not make her famous. But I just wish she got more respect than she does.

Agreed, though the Mercury prize was deserved. But the fact that "One Day Like This" didn't make the top 20 is just awful.

Daft Punk has basically made a revolution in electronica/house/dance/trance music. They are not under-rated, they are fairly rated, they have amazing talent.
It's their choice not to appear in the papers and to never give interviews because they wanted to remain unknown, celebrity does scare them.
No one knows what they look like, we all know they're French and apparently one is black.

They're my favourite band ever, I did grow up with them, most of my fave songs are from them and one of the happiest day in my life is the day I saw them LIVE. It was almost like an orgasm to me.
