The live feed airs overnight still from around midnight to 6am, dont worry. That's when most of the action happens anyway. The majority of the live feed during the day was those birds singing anyway.

You can see the bright side. All the money C4 doesn't put in Live Feed may be invested in the show itself...whoch is much better than the live feed if it can lead into better tasks and better twists.

With a new contract they could dump CBB for live feed. Sorted!

I can think of better things to do with my time than watching people sat around doing nothing, with bird noise every now and again. If I wanted to see that I'd just sit outside

That is not the point of the live feed. And from 2am, they'll be in bed anyway.

Even just a couple of hours in the day would give a much more rounded view of the house - as the daytime streaming is very different to the late night streaming.

But the live feed isn't all bird song & people doing nothing. Everything in the HL shows could have been live feed at sometime (depending what camera the LF director has chosen - there used to be a choice for online viewers). The soundcuts are annoying but there is still the excitement of watching tasks as they happen plus key stories unfolding. I was doing live updates on another site when Derek & Roberto hatched their plot agaisnt Max & Saskia, a key moment in BB6 that would never have been seen as live under the current format. C4 are sticking 2 fingers up to the fans by only retaining the overnight live feed (mostly of HMs sleeping).

We can still enjoy what is being shown of BB10 but I'm amazed that any posters would think that the show benefits from having its airtime slashed. Please go and campaign for fewer repeats of Friends instead!

What makes me laugh is people saying all the night time live feed is is people sleeping ... well they're usually up later than 3 or 4am anyway, and last years lot were sometimes still awake when the streaming went off!!

I agree..........How can they call it Big Brother without 24 hour live feed? All over the world they have live coverage, with us being the exception If you read endemols descripion of BB is " They can't eat, sleep or chill out without the nation clocking their every move. channel4 have taken it away from the orinal concept.

I soon lost interest in CBB I think the same will happen with BB10.

You can use that argument to apply to every series then. Some series' haven't had cameras in the showers etc whilst others have had live feeds but without multiple camera options. So really we have never seen their every move.

No we dont see everyone 24/7 just like no-one watches 24/7 (we all have to sleep some time) But the whole point of Big Brother was to show a bunch of strangers being locked in a house and we can watch when ever we like, so there is always some one watching 24/7. In a couple of early BB's there was multi screens and we could watch what we like when we like, over the years channel4 have slowly taken it away until now, when we have reached a point where they are solely in charge of the show, for all we know they could be throwing the housemates a script to work from in the daytime to show on the highlights.

IMO they have made it into a cheap soap opera.

I would say keep emailing the following people, they are the ones who axed the LF:

ajain@channel4.co.uk
dwilliams@channel4.co.uk

Just say you are not happy about the lack of house coverage and would like to see more of it - nonLFeeders at least back us BB fans up and send one in anyway, the more sent in the more chance we have.

Let me make this clear for anyone who is unsure:

The only live feed that will be available this year is 11.30pm-6.30am.

Not even 10pm. Not 11pm, 11.30pm.

We should not be feeling grateful at scraps, though. This Big Brother is the only one with no 24/7 LF. It really restricts that fluidity in tuning in whenever you like - when there is a task, when there is an argument, when something important is happening. You have to wait until 11.30pm.

I admire your "something is better than nothing" attitude, I really do! But the people that cut this have been lying since October saying they never reached a decision, that's what people are more annoyed about. C4 have treated us with nothing but contempt for a long time, it's about time they pulled there finger out and listened to the viewers.

I am in the same camp as you, I'm not a "avid" livefeed watcher but I did tune in frequently and enjoyed the debate and activity it sparked on the forums. I also liked to make up my own mind about housemates, twists, occurrences, stuff the highlight shows heavily edit in favour of.

Big brother is about watching 24/hrs a day if you choose. the option was there. But just night times isn't enough to get to know the real characters. I allways tuned in, whilst doing other jobs around the house. Being permanatly disabled, L/f was great. Big brother is one of the most loved programs, in my eye's. But why can't they have the red button, for us bb fanatice, but have normal programs as well, so if we choost to watch friends, etc we can, but the red button there for us L/F fans. The best of both worlds. Or even the choice to pay. Can anyone tell me can we bet bbusa in the uk, if so what channel.

I'm glad you agree with me about getting to know the real characters and the live feed was for people who wanted to watch when they wanted to.

Im just hoping that bb change there mind and give us the red button, oh i see pigs flying. Maybe if the viewing goed down they might introduce live feed. I gave up on cbb this year, as i couldnt truly get to know the characters. As daft as it seems, i enjoyed watcing the first person get up, and put the kettle on.
