Got this from Digital Spy :

"Behind the scenes at the BB Event

Filed: 17:57, May 11 2005 by Neil Wilkes

Filming of a new BB ad took place as planned earlier today in London.

The 'BB Event,' held at a brewery on Brick Lane, was attended by 1000 text competition winners who banded together to help form a human eye.

"We were taken to a pen in the holding area where we waited for an hour and Marcus Bentley (BB narrator) was doing a countdown," said DS:BB reader Mark Leete.

"Laid out in the middle of the holding bay were 1000 boxes in the shape of the Big Brother eye. We were told that we would each be able to take one box and inside each box were prizes ranging from T-shirts to TV/DVD combos. One box contained a golden ticket which allowed the finder complete access to opening night show, every eviction and tickets to the final night's filming as well as a tour of the BB house and a chance to meet all the housemates."

Another attendee, Gary Clark, said: "At 1pm, the two hosts announced everyone could go. We all grabbed boxes and made our way to other corners of the court yard. It was general opinion that the advert would be run in "reverse" with the boxes making up the Eye."

Leete added: "Then we were taken to the exit with our goodies and sent home. The weirdest thing was watching a thousand BB fans shuffling down Brick Lane with thousands of pounds worth of electrical equipment. All in all, not a bad day's work for the 1000 invited guests. I am sure everyone was happy with their prizes, even though the guy at the underground station thought there'd been a mass robbery from Argos."
