Default Newcastle - are they doomed for the conferance

Are Newcastle United doomed to slip all the way down to the conferance? What do you think?

if they keep Martins, duff and Owen they be back up straight away.

I don't see it getting any worse.

Owen? do you think he is worth all that money, I'm not so sure, without his speed (which made him what he once was), he is just an average player. He may have only lost a yard, but thats what gave him the edge. Also, he is an extremely injury prone player and isn't worth £100,000+ a week when he is unavailable for a lot if not most games. He's never been the player he once was since leaving Liverpool, but this is only my opinion.

True but Newcastle paid big bucks when the top four wouldn't and didn't think he was worth it. Owen is playing for a team who think big but buy average and they buy a left back worth 8 million and end up dropping him and playing Duff in the left back position and they buy the scumbag Joey Barton who has been nothing but trouble for Newcastle from day 1. and you wonder why Owen hasn't scored whenever he plays. Newcastle board are to blame for where they are.

Depending on the strength of their youth team, possibly. I don't think they're "doomed", I just think there's a chance they will stay down for more than next season. Hard to tell at this stage, the infrastructure has gone to pot.

I agree the board is the root of the problem at Newcastle and I also agree with your comments about Joey Barton, he should be booted out of football.

get ashley out which shouldn't be long get somebody who know's what there doing running the club keep shearer as manager get rid of barton and they'll not be doomed i think they'll stay down for a couple of seasons i don't think they'll come straight back up nor do i think they'll go any lower. as for owen please don't quote me on this lol its summat i heard from somebody the other day so i don't know its for defo but i heard he's out of contract so could leave on a free and other prem clubs seem to be interested. if anybody know's this to be true or untrue i'd love to know lol. i loved him at liverpool and i saw steven gerrard on sky sports news saying how he'd love to have back but i'm not too sure about that he's prone to injury these days although still a good player when fit xx

No, I think they'll come back up in two seasons time. Having said that, I thought the likes of Southampton would recover...

I think they could be done for now.

Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Aston Villa,

Have all been invited to the sales of Newcastle players.
