Default Buffy The Vampire Slayer!

I've been watching the first season of Buffy lol

How good was this series? Okay, after series 3 it was so rubbish and boring, but the first three series' are amazing! The first one is the best single cult series ever!

Anyone else love it?

I'm the opposite. Series 1 was good but when you compare it to the other seasons it pales. S3 was my favourite season, I think that all the seasons were very consistent apart from S4, I hated that series.

My fave from Season 1 was probably Witch, Angel, Nightmares and obviously Proghest Girl. It was good that they had a new storyline each episode, but i kind of prefered the ongoing storylines, eg. Adam, Glory, The First.
S1 is good but compared to the others, it was one of my least faves along with S6.

I just thought the whole initiative and Adam was a bit unbelievable, it just seemed very...misplaced? I liked the season apart from it's arc.

Oh well lol. Different opinions

I didn't like it when they went to College. I also thought that the whole "Willow gets powers" and basically all of Buffy's mates got powers as well was stupid. I liked the fact that they follow Buffy around in Season 1 and it was all about her. I love Cordelia in Season 1 too.

She was awesome being a bitch lol.

One of the best quotes from Season 1

Giles: (when Cordelia sits down in the Library) I don't believe i've seen you here before.
Cordelia: Oh no i have a life.

LMAO!!

I know, i love her

I've just watched the episode where some students get killed and Buffy believes that Sid the dummy is behind it lol
Good time

I think the whole Willow/Tara storyline annoyed me the most. I just felt it wasn't...needed if you get me. I liked it when it was about slaying vampires, then they all got love interests and it killed it for me

I definitely think the high school years were the best. S1 is good, but not as good as the others. Rewatching the series I completely rediscovered my love for Willow and Tara.

Willow was one of the best written and developed characters I've seen on a show. I remember re-watching Season 2 after the series ended and they planted narrative seeds about Willow going evil from the second series. I think characters needed to have their own powers or skills to make it believable that the normal characters would keep on surviving. The powers and skills were all introduced quite well.

And yes, Cordy = immense. I didn't like what become of her in the last series of Angel.

Talking about kick ass females, FAITH!!!! It's such a shame her spin off series was never realised, Damn Eliza for picking Tru Calling!

"Ouch!!! Please get your extreme oafishness off my two hundred dollar shoes"
Season 1

Where did you get that dress? This is a one-of-a-kind Todd Oldham. Do you know how much this dress cost? Is this a knock-off? This is a knock-off, isn't it? Some cheesy knock-off. This is exactly what happens when you sign these free trade agreements."
Season 1

"People who think their problems are so huge craze me, like this time I sort of ran over this girl on her bike. It was the most traumatizing event of my life, and she's trying to make it about her leg. Like my pain meant nothing"
Season 1

"Buffy - love the hair. It just screams street urchin."
Season 2

"I aspire to help my fellow man.'Check. As long as he's not smelly, dirty or something gross"
Season 2

"We're still all rooting for you on Saturday. I'd be there for you myself if I didn't have a leg wax"
Season 2

"Oh, God. Is the world ending? I have to research a paper on Bosnia for tomorrow, but if the world's ending, I'm not gonna bother"
Season 3

"I'm sorry, Buffy, this conversation is reserved for those who actually have a future"
Season 3

"And once again, the gold medal in the being wrong event goes to Xander "I'm as stupid as I look" Harris"
Season 3

I've always her.
Those quotes crack me up so much!
Especially, "People who think their problems are so huge craze me, like this time I sort of ran over this girl on her bike. It was the most traumatizing event of my life, and she's trying to make it about her leg. Like my pain meant nothing"

"Excuse me, can somebody help with my pain please!" Giles comes behind her "There threre" patting her back twice uninterested.

Or in Season 3 episode when Buffy can hear thoughts, everyone says different things from what they are thinking and Cordy just says honestly what she thinks.

Cordy slapping Giles, "Wake up, wake up! How many times have you been knocked out anyway? i swear one of these times your gonna wake up in a coma"
How does one wake up IN a coma?

LMAO! Love it!

I remember in season 2 (i think ) when Buffy was being a bitch to her friends and Cordy gave her some advice in the alley. Then she said "I'll go and dance with Angel..." and those vampires just scragged her into that room LMFAO!! Makes me laugh loool!

I was reading an interview with Sarah Michelle Gellar a while ago, she was saying that she quit Buffy because she didn't like what they did to the characters after series 4. She said that the scene were Buffy had sex with Spike made her realise that the characters and plots became stupid (i think it was season 6). She also said that she wanted to quit after season 5 but got talked back by the producer lol.

May 26th 2009

A new version of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is being planned for the big screen, claims The Hollywood Reporter.

Fran Rubel Kuzui, who holds the rights to the franchise, has announced that she is hoping to resurrect the character with Vertigo Entertainment without the involvement of creator Joss Whedon.

"It was [Vertigo's] interest in taking Buffy into a new place that grabbed us," she explained.

"Everything has its moment. Every movie takes on a life at some point and this seems like the moment to do this."

Kuzui added that she has not ruled out the possibility of inviting Whedon to participate, but confirmed that the movie will have no connection to the TV series and that supporting players including Angel, Willow, Xander and Spike will not be involved in the plot.

Whedon, who wrote the script for the 1992 movie starring Kristy Swanson, later revived the character for the highly successful cult series of the same name. The show, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, ran from 1997 until 2003.

OMG an Anya she made me cry with laughter so much.

ANYA - o crap, look at this. Now i am burdened with a husband and several tiny pink children and more cash than i can reasonably manage.
XANDER - Than means your winning.
ANYYA - really?
XANDER - Yes, cash equals good.
ANYA - Oh, im so pleased. Can i trade in the children for more cash?

They really should re-show them though lol.

Another hilarious quote from Cordy. When the "scoobies" got trapped in them halloween costumes and they get released lol...

Xander: It was like being trapped inside something..
Cordy: Tell me about it, this cat suit is skin tight.

LMFAO!!!
