he sounds somewhat, how can i put it, labotomised? Has he had part of his brain removed or do they all talk like that in his country?

There are three real thicko's in the house, Charlie, David and Sophie. I think Sophie is thickest followed by David and then Charlie. However, I don't think it's just his accent, many geordies are a bit vacant.
