Default BB ratings are below 2 MILLION!!! WTF!!

****ing hell, the BB ratings are getting worse. On Saturday BB finished lowest only attracting less than 2 MILLION.

'Big Brother finished last in its slot on Saturday night, according to early ratings figures.

The latest update from the BB10 house managed just 1.18m (6%) in the 9pm hour. Although ratings for weekend editions of the show are generally lower, the figure is down around 35% on the equivalent episode last year, which managed 1.85m (8.9%) on June 14, 2008.

Big Brother followed on from the second episode in the final season of ER, which registered a disappointing 520k (2.9%). Post-BB, a rerun of stand-up gig Alan Carr: Tooth Fairy Live improved ratings to 1.53m (9.3%).

The most-watched programme of the evening on any channel was Michael McIntrye's Comedy Roadshow, seen by 4.66m (24.1%) on BBC One from 9.30pm. It followed on from Casualty, which had 4.6m (23.7%).

Earlier, the eleventh episode of Robin Hood interested just 3.24m (21.1%) at 6.45pm, then the second episode of Graham Norton entertainment show Totally Saturday appealed to 2.93m (17.4%).

A new series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? launched to 3.73m (22.2%) on ITV1 at 7.30pm, leading in to the latest episode of All Star Mr & Mrs, which had a fairly even 3.72m (19.3%). Comedy Mumbai Calling put in 2.13m (11%) from 9.30pm.

BBC Two's highlights of Trooping The Colour averaged 2.01m (11.6%) between 7.30pm and 9pm, then an extended edition of Have I Got News For You logged 2.2m (11.1%) over 40 minutes.

Five had 1.1m (5.7%) for NCIS at 8.30pm, then CSI: New York delivered 2.13m (11.2%) an hour later. Law & Order closed off prime for Five with 1.22m (8.9%) at 10.30pm.

Overall in primetime, BBC One was ahead with an average share of 20.9% to ITV1's 17%. BBC Two took third with 9.3%, followed by Five with 7.4% and Channel 4 with 5.6% (+1: 0.8%).

A rerun of Taggart was the most popular multichannel choice of the night, taking 630k (3.7%) for ITV3 between 9pm and 10.40pm.'

For me i know we will be lucky if we get another bb next year !

Stop worrying about the ratings because there really isn't anything we as fans or channel for can do about it !

Just sit back relax and enjoy the series !!

I have a really strong feeling this is the last big brother.
Since the viewing figures are pretty bad and there's so many complaints about live feed & so on, I just can't see there been a follow up next year.

10's a good number to finish on anyway.

I'm suprised there's anyone here that didn't know. It's dropped sub 2 million quite a few nights since it started.

The only problem with the low ratings is if they continue to remain low right up to the end this jeopardises future series. CH4 will think long and hard regarding next year.

Who gives a ****, if it gets pulled i will create my own big brother in my shed - who wants an audition - send your audition to ohwell@ymail.com - the prize fund is Ł500 quid and the other information will be thought of in due course.

Most broadcasters and programme makers.

I admire your ability to stick your fingers in your ears, sing to to yourself and just go down with the ship but as someone who's dedicated hundreds of hours a year to this show for almost a decade and remained a fan through the goood times, the bad and the sheer awful to see those in charge and with the power to at least salvage it doing nothing; i find it very hard to join you.

Well to be honest i would love BB to return every year. But lets be honest there is very little we as fans can do about it is there ?

Also like you i have devoted countless hours to this show witch is the only tv programme i have made a consious effort to watch for the past 9 series.

As a fan all i can do is watch (i would say vote but i am in ROI) and enjoy emencly every year. People get to cought up in all this ratings BS. Once the core fanbase are watching and enjoying it whats the matter?

I don't care about ratings. But can't believe, this is such a good season.

I really don't understand WHY the ratings are so low. I honestly don't think this series is any worse than the past few. My friends and I are all still watching it and loving it and talking about it. I don't know anyone who used to watch it but isn't watching this series. I thought that with the economic downfall people might be more inclined to get hooked on a reality tv show. Apparently not.

Its pretty obvious why the viewing figures are low.... and Channel 4 only have themselves to blame!!

Yes Ratings matter
look at Richard and Judy
killed off, mind you they were not on a free channel.

I think the Graveyard shift time of 10PM
most nights is killing this show on the near bankrupt Ch4.
