Default 7 million tune in!
7 million fans (36% of people watching television at that time) watched the new housemates enter the BB house last night!

The opening show for the sixth series, also attracted an average of almost 6 million viewers and a 29% audience share.

Channel 4 commissioning editor for Big Brother, Angela Jain said, “This is a fantastic start to the series. Channel 4 and Endemol have worked hard for months to assemble a brand new bag of tricks to test this year’s participants. We are committed to making this year’s Big Brother as entertaining as ever for fans.”

Ceefax had the figure being 5.8 million.They are a million down on last year,but last time the last episode of Friends were shown before BB.
