There's always the chance that if they give him a party today the nominations could be influenced.

If he has his own private one (like Angel) is might cause some resentment.

If they have a group one, with food and booze then maybe one or two might warm to him a little bit more. (or someone makes a tit of themselves and gets nominated for it).
