VANESSA was last night embroiled in a “coaching” storm as it emerged that one of last year’s Big Brother housemates helped get her on the show.
The 19-year-old is a close friend of Marco Sabba, who gave her tips on the selection process.

Bisexual Vanessa met gay Marco — remembered for his seal-like clapping — at university in London.

Yesterday Vanessa and Marco’s friends confirmed that the pair were close pals.

The revelation will surprise fans and infuriate hopefuls who failed to get on to BB6.

All contestants’ applications are supposed to be secret and not influenced by anyone else.

But business studies student Vanessa and Marco, 22, were out celebrating three weeks ago after TV chiefs told her she was in.

A friend said: “It’s sickening. She has robbed a genuine contestant of a place. They colluded to get her on the show and it will be a shame if she won the £100,000 prize.”

Vanessa and Marco were pictured earlier this month partying in Loughborough University’s student union bar.

They had travelled up from London to see student pal Tania Dahdi, 19, and greeted her by screaming: “We’ve done it!”

A fellow drinker in the bar said: “It was only when Tania was watching Big Brother’s launch show on Friday night that the truth came out. One of her friends was stunned to see Vanessa on the telly. He asked Tania, ‘Was that the secret?’ And she said: ‘Yes’.”

A spokeswoman for the Channel 4 show said: “Vanessa was chosen on her own merit.”
