Default What genre of music do you HATE!!?!!?!!!

For me it's rap/Hip Hop. It's devoid of any creativity and there's currently hardly anyone who is interesting in the genre (perhaps at a push Kanye West but I'd say his last album was definately more of an electro R'n'B affair).

I appreciate that there USED to be great rappers even though I don't appreciate the genre I can appreciate them. Nowadays though anything hip Hop/ Rap sounds the same. It's a completely boring and stagnant genre.

Which genres do you HATE!!?

I hate exactly the same as you.
It's all mindless noise, you can't hear a word of what they're saying & half the time its just men disrepecting women. I also hate stuff like N Dubz & Dizzy rascal, what genre is that. It's awffulllll.

Heavy Metal, Dance, most Pop.

And yeah, I'd say 808's & Heartbreak is more of an R&B album than a Rap album, I hope Kanye goes back to rap for his next album.

I hate N Dubz, I'm no fan of Dizzee Rascal but compared to the cardboard cutout American rappers of the week he's bearable.

Heavy Metal, Disney.

I especially hate extreme/hardcore dance/trance too. I stick my finger in my ears every time an advert for such a compilation comes on.

To be fair do you listen to the music outside the pop charts?

Many styles of dance, hip hop that is not in the pop charts.

I think a lot of of people just class 'rap' as '**** you mutha****, smack my bitch about then **** her pussy' all said in about 0.5 of a second. I do quite like some rap, Eminem's Curtain Call is on regular reply on my iTunes. Also, LOVING Asher Roth and 50 Cent had some alright songs when he first came out. Don't mind some Lil' Kim sometimes either.

I agree with the people who have said Dance music, I hate the chavvy kinds. I don't mind electro, Daft Punk and Royksopp are more then fine with me.

I don't actually listen to much chart music really, well not the singles chart. I rarely listen to the radio or watch music channels outside of MTV2 and an occasional bit of radio. I read a lot of NME and other music sites though.

Anything by...

Tupac
Biggie
50cent
Kanye west
Coolio
Fat Joe
G- unit
The Game.

So id say rap, hate it, they all generally, "talk in time" to a beat, they don't sing at all, and they usually rap about a load of rubbish.

Rap possibly.

But I like some things by Eminem "We Made You" for example, it is rap, but good rap.

I hate 50 Cent.

And music where they scream. It makes me cringe.
