Nothing in excess
|
I've just been running this one through my head. For instance, I find Lisa completely vile and annoying, but I'm not sure I would be watching the show if it weren't for the conflict she has caused. By the same token, BB9's Rex is possibly my least favourite housemate of all time and I couldn't find any redeeming qualities in him as a person (in fact he was pretty boring), but he was also a central figure in the drama that made BB9 so tense and gripping much of the time (or at least up until week 8).
Is it possible we don't give the villains enough credit? Maybe the really terrible housemates are those that only play a passive role in the house such as Sophie. I realise in real life I would hate some of BB's villains such as Victor or Maxwell. But as viewers, we have to realise that these people are not a part of our lives and in the context of the show they are characters. |

I watch BB to be amused, not to cringe.

I agree with daffers, but I love a villain, but a clever one, not this swearing and venom all the time, anyone can do that, rex was very clever with it, unlike Charley or Alex!!!
