Default Official Press Rrelease: Viewing Figures

Channel 4
· To date Big Brother 3 has averaged 4.4 million (21% share). This is a 16% increase on Big Brother 2 over the same period.

· Big Brother 3 has averaged a 42% 16-34 profile and is attracting 2.1 million 16-34s per programme against 1.9 million for Big Brother 2.

· The main evening programmes (excluding live streaming) for the second week (31st May – 6th June) of Big Brother 3 have averaged 4.2 million (21% share) up 9% on the second week last year.

· Wednesday’s (5th June) show featuring nomination results attracted an average audience of 5.5 million, peaking at 6.4 million (27.2% average share / 32.1% peak share). This was the highest rating programme of the week and the second highest audience of the series. The highest rating show to date was the live entrance show which attracted an average of 5.8 million (25.9% share) viewers compared to 3.5million for the equivalent show last year - a 64% increase.

· Last week’s surprise eviction show attracted an averaged 3.7 million viewers at 8.30pm and 4.5 million at 10.00pm.

E4

· Yesterday (Thursday 6th June) saw E4 achieve its highest audience to date. Boosted by Friends/ER finale, E4’s average share was 13% amongst 16-34s (Sky One 5.1%, BBC 2 6%) – a record for E4. Since the start of the series E4’s share has averaged 9.5% amongst 16-34s. Last year's average share of 16-34s for the same period was 3.6%.

· Big Brother's Little Brother has averaged 596,000 (7pm show) and 498,000 (10.30pm show) viewers to date (24th May – 6th June). This compares to last year's figures of 124,000 and 296,000 respectively for the same period. This week (31st May – 6th June) Big Brother’s Little Brother has averaged 603,000 (7pm show) and 571,00 (10.30pm). Last night’s Big Brother’s Little Brother drew a total combined audience of over 2 million for the 3 transmissions on E4 – the highest for Big Brother’s Little Brother to date.

· Live streaming has averaged 217,000 during the day and 300,000 during the evening to date. This compares with 83,000 and 73,000 respectively for the same period last year.

· To date (24th May – 7th June) www.channel4.com/bigbrother has received 39,664,887 million page impressions. This is a 32% increase on last year.

· Comparing last year with this year, on a daily basis, the total number of users are up by 90%.

· Page impressions peaked at 3 .5 million on Wednesday 5th June.
