Default 7/7 Rememberance (4 Years On)

I can't believe its been four years since it all happened.

My sister was on the train between the train which blew up, and she was running late so I forever find myself lucky that she never got on that train. Can't believe its been four years!

I will never forget that day. The 52 pillars in Hyde Park will make sure we never forget the victims. 52 innocent lives.

I remember this day like it was yesterday. It's easy to imagine that these things happen daily around the world, but it's harder to imagine that it can actually happen in the city you live in. RIP to all those who lost their lives.

Just watched a news report on the unveiling of the monument that they have made in Hyde Park. Was really sad the news story was followed up by another death of an english solider.. this world is cruel!

Well seeing as I was on the tube that morning, and was involved in all the confusion that day, I think I can safely say I will never forget what happened.

i cant believe it cos it seems like a shorter time scale than that, i care and would have even if this thread wasnt made same as i care on the anniversary of 9/11 i have a friend who is a tube driver and was working that day i also remember what i was doing on that day which was with my neighbour as her dad is a fireman who was involved in the rescue operation that was the aftermath and on a personal level we were waiting on news if my dad would need to be moved to a different intensive care unit if the bed he was in was needed for any of the injured
so i think your statement is a bit sweeping given that you dont know what every person is thinking

It is very sad, but what I find sadder is that people on this scale die every day in other countries but just because they live somewhere else they are less important. I do think it is sad that so many innocent lives but I used this day to remind myself of all the innocent people being bombed in the world... it happens much more in foreign countries. Iraq for example, by our own troops. Sick world, but we are doing the same to other countries.

not really a ridiculous thing to say, if you didn't have the reminders i doubt you would think about it, so it can't be that important.
unless you actually knew someone who died who was hurt fair enough

And what about those who actually live in London? or those who have family and friends who travel into London daily for work. I feared that my aunt, who daily travels by train and bus to work, may have been involved. Obviously it was a longshot she would be and thankfully she wasn't, but millions of people go into London each day and it could have happened to anyone of them on that tube or bus.

okay then let me re-phrase, the vast majority of people who act as though they care, wouldn't think twice about it, unless reminded.

i repeat, this is not aimed at everyone!!!!! as im sure there are a few people who genuinely care.

The British Army is at war with terrorists. Not cowardly blowing up innocent people.
Having said that,i do think that debate should be elsewhere and not here.
