I hate it when the kids are allways so good.

Not far away from me a boy was stabbed and in the papers it had his family in the paper saying how he was a great student never got into trouble was always with his freinds, didnt drink smoke or do drugs never got into trouble..

Making out he was the perfect young lad.

Turns out he got stabbed because he was in a gang and he robbed another gang for drugs.. lol, i doubt this boy was a "little Angel" in this story lol.

I see it has been reported in The Sun.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ed-murder.html

It also says in the article that the teacher had suffered “years of constant and unnecessary abuse”.

Sounds like he had some charming pupils.

"It is claimed that before the incident Jack said “******* off and have another stroke”."

Aww what a little angel.

"He was on medication and had recently been seen talking to himself in corridors and shaking in class. It is said he “snapped” after more than 20 pupils in his class sang “I’m staring at the Psycho in the Mirror” to the tune of the Michael Jackson hit Man in the Mirror. "

I just read this actually.

Quote:
"Apparently the kid had said to him "fu.ck off and have another stroke"

Although I cannot condone what the teacher did- if he had said that to a big bloke in a pub it would have been an ash tray slammed into his head".

How true.

Actions = consequences.

Yeh exactly they would say because hes a child he could defend himself and loads of other things to make the teacher look worse.

Thing is the child, was obviously some little twat, that was completely out of order.
Even though i believe the 2kg weight used was a bad choice.

Agreeably. Although it was most probably the nearest thing to hand. As I said earlier, everybody has their breaking point. I am sure in hindsight that is regrettable. People do not always think straight in the heat of the moment, even though that seems extreme. Let's just hope the lad is ok.

I don't have sympathy for the teacher. If he was professional he would have removed himself from the situation. The kid was a little b*stard yes and should be punished but does that mean he deserved to have his head nearly beaten in with a weight? Remember people, this kid is 14 years old and he doesn't look very intimidating, especially to a grown man.

At the end of the day, the teacher should have brushed off the kid's comments and taken apropriate action. He's had a tough few years yes but you have to leave that behind when you step into a classroom and keep up a professional gameface.

It sickens me how people are taking glee in such violence commited against kids. Would you still feel the same if you knew him? If he was your son? Brother? Nephew? Friend?

I have never condoned what Mr Harvey has done and I never will. Who's 'taking glee in it?'

I stand by the fact that Mr Harvey is a lovely and genuine man who was pushed too far. The little kid probably hit a nerve, not that that justifies it.

and surely a mentally ill person (if found), struggles to or can't 'keep up a professional gameface', after all, he is a human being and he should've been given more support or not allowed back to teach.

Yeh that happened around here.
Some sixteen year old got shot & they were trying to make out he was dead good & hadn't done anything wrong and wasn't involved in gang crime when he clearly was.

I mean I get that like he was shot at 16 & lost his life way to early & it's sad but that's what happens when people are involved in that kind of crap.

I think there is soooo much more to this story then we will ever know. Firstly it is so sad that the boy was hurt and there is no excuse whatsoever for a teacher (anyone really) to physically harm a student/child.

It's so easy to look at the boy in hospital and think that discusting teacher he should be shot. But we do not know a thing about what has happened. The newspapers and news channels love to sensationalise everything in order to get a good story.

What if the boy went for the teacher first and the teacher was just protecting himself, Would peoples views change??? This is why we have to rely on the legal sytem to come to a conclusion. Please remember people are innocent until proven guilty and not the otherway round.

Stupid people that actually think the Teacher was right to try and kill a kid.
Even if the kid was a little ****, the Teacher was stupid to let a 14 year old kid get to him hes obviously unstable, and the school shouldn't have let him work there. and i hate how everyone says teens are all evil idiots, if you think that you are so small minded.

I agree with you about the school allowing him to come back so soon.

I think a lot of adults think teenagers today are a waste of space because all they see and hear about teenagers are, that they run around the streets causing trouble. There needs to be better communication and respect from both sides.
