So Laura got me thinking haha what in your opinion makes a fan? Like I know there is liking a persons music, but what other things do you think make a true fan? Are there points where someone can get obsessed?

i'm a fan of tons of artists on very different levels some i just like songs some full albums some the music plus how they look and some who i would pay money to see live

Ok in my opinion there a difference between being a fan of someone or being a true true fan.

This to me relates to Take That mainly but to be a downright scary fan you need the following

Adore everything,the music,the people etc.
Know everything-song lyrics,members birthdays and much more
Buy the albums and singles legally
See them live and apperciate every second
Never ever ever be ashamed to be a fan of anyone,then you're not a real fan

Just genearally be passionate(thanks Stu :P) and they should mess your opinions right up-smiling one minute,crying the next....

I am a true true true Britney fan!!

Have bought every single and album she has ever released, bought the rare single's off eBay.

Seen her live twice!!

I would support her if she killed her own kids pmsl

I have supported everything she has ever done and when Britney shaved her head I spammed hater's with TRUE BEAUTY signs.

I have never spoke a wrong word against her because I love her unconditionally with everything she does. I have never really disliked any of her songs, ever.. with the exception of Mmm Papi which I sort of like now!

I am never ashamed to be a true fan of her's and always tell everyone<3

aaargh sory laura but i really disagree with some of the point you've made there.

Personally i think a real fan is someone who can appreciate both good and bad parts of an artist. Like if Chrisitna released a song, that was just blatantly bad, I'd have no problem saying that it was ****. Or even now for example, I think it's really bad of her to have not given us any official info since April and have said on the forums how shitty it was of her. Of course there also has to be the flipside of 'UMG THATS THE BEST SONG IVE EVER HEARD' and what not.

And in terms of them as a person, I know that if picked up a news paper and saw Christina bashing someone who had done nothing to her or falling out of a cab to get attention I would be bale to look down on her but still stay loyal.

what if the person simply doesn't have the fees. is it really fair to say they aren't a true fan?
