Default Is anybody else nervous about tonight\'s eviction?

I still think Kris will go, but the BB highlights haven't exactly shown Marcus in a positive light over the past couple of nights. I'm going to be so nervous when Davina talks to the house, and there's that long gap before she announces the name.

GET KRIS OUT!

(Long time lurker)

I believe there is a very good chance Marcus will go.

I know the various polls point against this. But I've been watching them closely and believe what they seem to show is invalid. Most people used up their single votes almost immediately they opened. Since them Marcus has been shown in a pretty bad light. Watching the small additions to the polls from Tuesday on, those additions have been overwhelmingly for Marcus.

Also, I've a feeling that casual viewers (rather than diehards) will be voting Marcus. Fans of the show consider stuff such as the need to break the dominance of Team Dumb. Casual viewers simply pick up the phone for who they see as being the most apparently obnoxious......and a lot of the time Marcus and his mouth fit that bill.

Lastly, I don't think you can rely on the gambling odds. The bookies opened the eviction market on the basis of that intelligence they had gathered from fansites, etc. Punters have gone along with them but there has been no acid test of how strongly the public will feel about someone like Kris (a pretty boy who melts into the background most of the time).

I'm pretty sure it'll be Kris who goes, but I'll still be ringing to vote him out nonetheless.

That's true, but most ''casual viewers'' don't bother voting. :P

I disagree - people on fansites like to think they have voting power, but probably account for less than 0.5% of the total votes cast.

If by ''casual viewers you mean people who only tune in when there is nothing else on, then I doubt many of them care enough to waste their money on voting...

Casual viewers is probably the wrong term then. Let's call them viewer/voters who watch regularly but not obsessively, and would never consider going on a fansite to debate the finer points. The 99.5% of voters from the balance of 0.5% mentioned above who I think may possibly be moved to vote Marcus

As a aside, I always find it amusing that many fansite devotees proudly boast they never vote cos C4 are rubbish or they put Nikki back in, etc. These same people then spend hours berating the public/voters who exercised their choice to vote when the decision is not what the forum wanted.

I always find that to be a fallacy. I can't think of one Friday Night's show that has even impacted on an eviction in a significant way.

I always regard the Thursday show as the last one that will have an influence. After that, I feel the die is cast as people will have made up their mind who they're voting for, regardless of whether it is 9.15 Friday or something before they make the call

I don't think Kris is going, I don't think he was ever in contention to go, and I think it'll be very close - between Marcus and Sophie.

If I'm wrong though then I'm an idiot.
