The Daily Record is losing readers hand over fist, and has been doing for years.

That paper panders to the shortbread munching, SNP voting, minority of Wee Scotlanders who now insist on taking offence at the slightest thing anyone says (particularly if they happen to be English).

Thankfully, there are still a few real Scots like myself, who don't object to being called a Jock, don't hate our English brothers, and who like flying the Union Flag and love being part of the UK.

Get Karly out, and get an interpreter for the interview, so that those of us who don't come from the banjo playing backwater that she is from, can understand what is being said.

Racism is a funny thing. People who don't understand that there's a difference between imitating a posh person's accent (Freddie) and imitating an immigrant's accent need their heads examined.

If a person comes from a traditional position of power, holds full rights, shares the same religion and customs, and would otherwise not be discriminated against in the labour market... Fair game.

You've got to be a little more sensitive when people don't necessarily enjoy all the same privileges, and sometimes mocking an accent can actually come off as making someone feel stupid. That said, people have got to lighten up about the accent thing, whether it's with Sree or Rodrigo.

Karly, though, is clearly a member of Britain's troublesome common shrew species. And if there's one group we can ALL enjoy being racist to, it's these ones. Let's ship them all off to Greenland! I say!

I would expect there is a large element of scripting with regards to Davina's comments (judging by her dodgy attempts to read auto cue i'm almost certain).

Once again its brings in to question being politically correct and the double standards of being pc.

In the editing of one of the shows they took the piss out of karly in the diary room with regards to her accent....it's a fair point if they had done the same with Sree all hell would have broke loose....so you get to a point where no one makes jokes about anyone as someone could take offense, or you learn to laugh at yourself and take it on the chin....
