The CW has confirmed they are working on a Melrose Place remake for the fall lineup. The CW really doesn’t have much going for it, but since they’ve launched the sorta crappy 90210 part deux the the network’s been getting much more attention.
Whatever works. In this climate nobody gives two sh*ts about the art anymore, just give us some dirt to lap up and we gladly will. Darren Star, both 90210 and Melrose Place’s creator, isn’t finished with his hot, urban ladies in power heels, and hard-bodied men motif. Since Sex and the City is off the air, and Cashmere Mafia was quickly and quietly canceled, he’s been looking for a place to dip his lady hands.
“Regardless of whether they do it or not, whether I’m part of it or not, I think it would be a fun thing to do,” he [Starr] told TVGuide.com. “I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened — If it can be put together in the right way.”
Lay it on. But if he doesn’t bring Heather Locklear back he’ll be significantly less popular with the power bottom, bitchy, queens that probably drop to their knees when he walks through the bar door now.
