The 12 celebrity and professional dancer pairings take to the dancefloor for their debut performances, hoping they have what it takes to impress the judges and viewers at home. Their performances are critiqued and scored by Strictly judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, but they all escape the public vote until next weekend. we got some lovely tunes anyway for a first week also quite a few tricky dances for week 1 too (Samba, Quickstep, Paso, Jive, Foxtrot) American Smooths making their week 1 debut appearances too but it also seems like a good variety of dances which is also nice for overall show quality i guess

as for my only bit of criticism, i would like bit more traditional music for Cha Cha Cha Rey Ruiz - Ay Mujer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iPIXqK7dtg Celia Cruz - Guantanamera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jaoXKpi7N4 but Pata Pata is also nice, and extra nice Oti can dance to some music of her home country
