Kaye Adams a TV, radio presenter and journalist has been announced as our fourth contestant for Strictly 2022.



Kaye Adams said: “I said I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and i can’t think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet. Pray for me!”

Kaye is a broadcaster best known as an anchor on ITV topical discussion show Loose Women as well as for hosting the morning show on BBC Radio Scotland. Having started her career as a news journalist she has presented programming for various TV channels including STV, the BBC and Channel 5. She started her popular podcast, How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams, in 2022.

Richie is an RTS award winning presenter and is best known for his well-established role on BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show with Zoe Ball, presenting the travel bulletins as well as hosting a wide variety of his own shows. In May he travelled to Turin to cover the Eurovision Song Contest for the station. A regular presenter on The One Show, he is often seen on BBC One and was proud to be part of the channel’s recent Platinum Jubilee coverage.

Kym Marsh 2nd contestant revealed for 20th series of Strictly come dancing

Kym is well known for her role of Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, for which she won ‘Best Newcomer’ at both the National Television Awards and British Soap Awards.

Kym has also had a successful music career, both in the band Hear’Say, which she won a place in after appearing on the show Popstars, and as a solo artist. Recently Kym played the notorious Alex in the touring theatre production of Fatal Attraction. Currently a presenter on BBC One’s Morning Live, Kym is soon set to star in the revival on BBC One drama Waterloo Road.

Kym Marsh said: “I’ve considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out. I’m so delighted that this year they have! I’m a huge fan of the show and can’t believe I’m going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress, it’s unreal!”

Will is known for his many acting roles over the last 30 years, including starring in Hollyoaks, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Line of Duty and Broadchurch. Most recently he appeared in Coronation Street as Harvey Gaskell. As well as his acting career, Will reached number 5 in the UK Singles Chart with ‘When I Need You’ in 1998. He recently toured the UK with a live version of the popular podcast he co-hosts with Ralf Little, Two Pints with Will and Ralf.

Will Mellor said: “I'm honestly so chuffed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year! Not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about. This is also my Mum's favourite show and she’s had a really tough few years so I’m doing this is for her as well. Bring it on!”

The celebrity dance competition is hoping to once again host its live shows in the iconic Tower Ballroom.

It would be the first time since 2019 that Strictly has taken place at the legendary venue after the pandemic ruled out trips in recent years.

The Sun reports that the BBC are putting plans into place to return in November for the show’s twentieth series.

A source shared: “The production team are working out the logistics but everyone is feeling really hopeful that the show will be able to return there for 2022.

“And the fact that it will reach the landmark 20th series makes it all the more important.”

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman return to the ballroom for the launch of Strictly Come Dancing 2021. Dusting off their paddles are returning judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, alongside the newest addition to the panel, Strictly's longest-serving professional dancer Anton Du Beke.

Fifteen brand new celebrities are paired with their professional partners before taking to the floor for the first time in a huge group number. There are two routines from the Strictly professionals, one of which introduces our four brand new dancers. Nina Wadia OBE is known for starring in the BBC Two sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, Open All Hours spin-off Still Open All Hours, and for playing Zainab Masood in EastEnders, where she won Best Onscreen Partnership and Best Comedy at the British Soap Awards.

Nina has also starred in theatre productions including the Tony award winning The Vagina Monologues, and she recently appeared in the live-action film remake of Aladdin.

Little Mix to perform at the Semi Finals December 13th

Little Mix have been confirmed as one of the upcoming guest acts on Strictly Come Dancing on 13 December

They will be performing one of their songs from brand new album Confetti.

The group will appear as a three-piece with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock taking to the stage without Jesy Nelson.

It follows Jesy announcing she'd be taking an extended break from the group for private medical reasons.

The girls will step out on stage before presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announce who is set to go to the grand finale and compete for the Glitterball trophy.
