|The Sun newspaper is reporting today that television presenter Gail Porter has signed up for Celebrity Big Brother, starting in August 2015.
The newspaper reports that she has had a difficult few years but hopes that Celeb BB can help her career.
A source is quoted in The Sun: “Gail has had an absolutely hellish few years, both mentally and physically. It would be enough to finish anyone off.
“But she is starting to come through it and feels ready to go into the house. It could be her path back into the limelight and resurrect her career.”
In the 90s and 2000s she presented programmes such as Top of the Pops, Live & Kicking, and The Big Breakfast. She also was well-known for her modelling in magazines such as FHM. In 2003 she appeared on Channel 4's reality show, The Games. She lost her hair in 2005 due to the condition Alopecia and has previously been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder.
Celebrity Big Brother starts on Channel 5 sometime in August 2015, but the date has not been revealed yet.
