Unapologetic is my least fave album by her tbh
I mean it's good but AGLM to TTT are better, I think it's on par with MOTS

'steps in the right direction' makes it sound as if there was something wrong prior it it how dare you

but yeah music def was transitioning in 2008/2009

2008 - debut of gaga & katy, Kanye being weird and using autotune, rih being more unique with the release of disturbia, edm music emerging with gags and enrique, etc
2009 - edm music taking off a great deal more, there was still variety on the charts though with the debut of keri hilson <3 jay-z bey and alicia all doing well, PCD shontelle ciara mariah ne-yo etc. also flo rida/pitbull weren't doing dance music etc.. so R&B was still there. and people like britney were sticking to their sound

then in 2010 electronic music completely took over </3 but the last four months were amazing.

I truly believe 2003-2007 were the peak years of music <3

and yeah winter 2012 was amazing
