I'm not going to watch it. It's a film I usually watch around Christmas season in December, so I don't want to watch it two months early. I'll review it though, cause I remember it.

It's really good though. It's a classic imo. It's very eerie and creepy. Especially the last 45 minutes of it. The killer is creepy too as you never see his face.

I should enjoy it then.

Yeah, at one point I put myself into the characters shoes and it really frightened me. Especially when Liz was watching footage of other victim's cameras and how he did the same to other people, particularly that family (like helping them with their car, giving them drugged rainwater) especially when he said the same thing to the family as he said to the 3 in the film. And also when she watched Ben's camera and noticed his car behind him - meaning he'd been following them

I gave it a 9/10 on the last movie you watched thread. It does everything a horror film should. Scare you, but keep you gripped at the same time.

If you check out the sequel let me know what you think. Apparently they're also making a TV miniseries of the films too, and John Jarrat is back as Mick Taylor.

Yeah, the setting is really creepy. The Australian outback, the deserted highways, that mining place where he kills his victims.

Same, it's an excellent film and by far one of my favourite modern horror films (and I'm not usually a fan of them), but this one was brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat. I can't believe I waited so long to watch it fully. I might watch it again in 2 weeks when it's on the Halloween countdown.

I've heard the 2nd one is good, but not as good as the first. I'm a bit dubious of checking it out, tbh. But I probably will at some point.

Kristy's highway scene and when she's running on the road was really creepy too. It's usually the bit that's shown on trailers and things so I was looking forwards to it.

That chase scene in the car too was hard to watch.

And yeah, I've heard about the sequel, I need to check it out sometime.

Yeah, I also found it unpredictable. Like at first you'd think Liz would be the survivor, then when she dies and you have Kristy making it to morning, you think she'd be the survivor, but then in the end they both die and you get Ben (who we all thought was dead) surviving.

I liked how unpredictable it was, it meant anything could happen and made it all the more enjoyable to watch.
