All true.

All except the comment about American football players wearing too much gear... that one I'm not sure because of the way the game is played... CTE is becoming very controversial since it is so detrimental to players, so may end up "nerfing" it anyway... though it is ironic that in the WWE they have the very same issue(s) with cranial injuries but don't wear as substantial protection.

I watched another video about things that are only American underneath that one... and really, we're the only ones who put ice in our beverages? But what about sweet iced tea...

Most of the UK's pubs and clubs use hosepipes to put copious amounts of water in their beer and lager kegs and barrels - BEFORE they sell the contents - if that's any comfort, Maru.

As an unbiased non-American non-British individual, I can say that the UK is clearly far superior.
No offence Americans, and please don't revoke my visa until I get back from Vegas and New York in three weeks time

I work with plenty of americans, I love them all. But what they say about them is true "You hear them before you see them".
Boy they are so LOUD. Why the hell for?
And the ice cubes everywhere too. Just stop it

I don't get that one. Ice in beverages is common across the world.

I mean America has a much bigger use of it but it's a warmer country so it's going to.

I think we're uncomfortable with silence? If we are feeling or noticing something, every random though, it has to be mentioned Silence makes everything feel awkward otherwise... I'm not always a chatterbox so some people may notice this and think I am not as outgoing... silence is underappreciated here I think

Yeah that's what I figured. Especially in the deep south... our weather is more tropical. I've started to make blended ice beverages during the summer with fruits and teas... it's very nice on a hot day

I do love hot tea though. I've been experimenting with fruit teas... taking lemon juice, honey, mint leaves and putting in with freshly steeped green tea... pouring over ice and blending... so good

Yeah when I found out how much water that Starbucks puts into their beverages... hard pass... watered down beer sounds yuck though ... I don't drink beer with ice though... (I don't think many do?).. the exception is a smoothie style margarita...so some fruity froo froo girls drink with hard liquor.. maybe

I love beverages

I think that's the case in a lot of places though... I don't really do much in the way of "small talk" and I do find that people have a tendency to just chatter about nothing to "fill the silence". I sometimes think maybe people are too scared of their own thoughts to spend much time listening to them? Maybe I'm thinking into it too much though .

As I've said to customers before, though... The especially chatty ones...

If you're talking constantly then you're not taking much time to think, and if you talk too much without thinking you'll end up saying something you'll regret.

Yep liptons make it, it's quintessentially English... not that a Scot would appreciate that.
And if xenophobia is allowed I'm playing

I was in Texas last month and I thought the whole over-the-top state pride thing was just a stereotype but honestly most the people we met wouldn't shut up about Texas / being Texan.

I love Texas but the over-zealous bragging wears thin after a while, it's like when the Scots go on about how they're better than England when nobody outside the UK know they exist.

That's because y'all are Texans before you're American.
