Default Do you live to work or work to live?

Born to work or is your occupation only a means to an end for substinence?

Didn’t you propose a 6-day working week (inc. Sunday) the other time?

I don’t think either really apply to me so I won’t vote in the poll.

I wouldn’t describe myself as a hustler.

However, I find days/weeks off really overrated and so I wouldn’t say I’m someone who lives for their time away from work. I enjoy being busy and feel useless if I’m not working or continuing my education etc.

I also wouldn’t say I was somebody who loved to make plans all the time. I’m a very spontaneous person and most of the things I do and take part in is decided in the moment so I don’t think I work just to live.

Overall I’d probably say I live to work, although that sounds much more depressing than it actually is.

I work to live because I've had boring jobs and I save the money. Go travelling. Once I'm spent up then dead end job again. But now I am going for my dream jobs. I either want to be a ski instructor or actor. Or both would be good.

Easily work to live. Not saying I’ve hated my jobs, even kinda like my current one but if not for the money to live I’d be doing other things lol

I forgot leisure time and actual enjoyment of life are totally unreasonable.

And that’s more than fair enough. Balance isn’t a bad thing but I’d rather be 100% work to live than 100% live to work.

A mix of both really.

I've always been a workaholic and have worked three jobs at once in the past because I've wanted to take on the different roles.

As I work in TV full time I can chose to take time off after contracts if I wish, which is nice to be able to chose downtime as I can plan my life around work a lot better. Whereas when I was in an office job I had no life.

I've always loved working and I love what I do now, but it's important to be able to have time out.

My job is currently my life at the minute. I don't mind that because I do not have any other responsibilities and I'm not in a relationship. This will change in a few years though when I leave this job and go into a less busy job.

I’m more of the first option but time out and leisure are a lot more important than the likes of LT recognise. One day off in a week’s nothing less than a piss-take.

Enjoying the time you have and cherishing those close to you is the most important thing in life.

People's families and raising thier kids is the most important thing to them/they will do and rightly so.

Life's far to short for the sole purpose to be working, slogging away working every hour of every day is a complete waste and for what? you don't get any thanks or recognition for it from anyone because in all honesty those closest to you would much prefer your time and attention rather than money or things.

Yes working to pay bills and have nice things is needed but that's as far as it needs to go IMO

I actually like my job and what I do is what I'm interested in so for me work is like a hobby, with a sprinkle of stress and a pay check... which option do I pick??

Some folk don't have to work and have a house family and fun though.

It didn't though...

Of course we all work to pay for things but it's in no way the most important thing we ever do.

Whatever about the other two but family’s a constant. Whether you’re a pauper or trillionaire.

And working 6 days a week gives you no time to spend in said house, with said family or to have said fun.

Tried to be a smart arse and shot yourself in the foot.
