I really like betting on baseball/basketball, sometimes football and I like horse racing too even though I never win

In nearly 10 years as a bookie drone, 5+ years as a shop manager, I only ever encountered a handful of Basketball punters. And they're ALL ****ing weird, but in entirely different ways. It's fascinating. There was one who used to make really elaborate points spread bets whilst so blind drunk he could barely stand then he'd forget he ever made them and have to come in and ask the next day what he'd bet on.

And one tiny little bald man (can't have been more than about 5'3 and skinny) who dressed normally from the waist up, but in see-through white tights like a ballet dancer from the waist down. Thankfully, with white y-fronts underneath.

You can tell a lot about someone from what they bet on tbh.

Greyhounds punters are arseholes with too much cash, for example. 90% of football punters are young guys with no idea how odds work.

Golf punters... Ugh.

And American Football handicap punters who think they're pro gamblers but hardly ever make a profit

Aw I miss some of it really. Characters.

When I started betting on them I didn't even know anything about them (still don't know that much tbh), I just went with the odds. I found I won quite a lot more times on these games compared to others so maybe that's why I'm biased towards them.

I dont really bet on Sport although the last couple of years one of my brothers made me do a last man standing of the premiership that he was running so I suppose that counts

Honestly think my ratio of unsuccessful bets to successful ones is about 500:1 so I tend not to bother very often. The big horse races I do though and I like betting on golf majors because it makes them much more interesting to follow
