Default Is this info on the New BB House

Big Brother's new house

The new housemates will dwell in the infamous Big Brother house, located once more within Elstree Studios. The house has been completely redesigned for the new series by Patrick Watson and, this year, is smaller than ever before.

The Big Brother house is, as always, fully equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual recording equipment to document every movement made and every word said in the house and garden, 24 hours a day.

Each room is surrounded by glass walls. There will be one bedroom for all the housemates to share, and one communal bathroom with two urinals, a bath and a shower. There will also be a larder just off the kitchen area.

In terms of décor, the house will have a disorientating feel to it, swapping inside for outside. The garden comes with interior furnishings such as wallpaper, carpet, a dining table and even a chandelier, while the inside has outdoor elements to it, including faux grass in the kitchen and contemporary garden furniture in the living room.

Half of the kitchen itself is outside with a barbeque area for hot summer evenings. More than ever before, the Big Brother house will be a difficult place to live in.

Smaller than ever before? Smaller than BB5? Sounds lame.

Inside out theme? BB7?

Inside-Out is a good theme, I'll be glad if it's back.

I cannot see it being as small as BB5, probably just means smallest Channel 5 house. They wouldn't waste all that potential space.

Update? Normally new users don't irritate me but you made this thread for attention and you've been caught out.

That gave it away

On a separate note though I hope they don't make this year's house smaller, big houses are far better. BBCAN's season two house >

Last year's house was pretty much as big as it can get in the current shell... so this year's probably won't be any bigger

I wish they'd build an extension, the house had a much bigger feel to it in BB6 and 7 than from BB8 onwards

I'd be quite happy to sacrifice the big task room to get a bigger garden space, can't the tasks just take place in the house like the old days?

I think the task room is valuable - and besides they already did that last year. A better solution would be to take inspiration from BBCAN and 'build up' (as BBAU put it)... I have no idea about the technicalities of such a move but surely it wouldn't be too hard to raise the roof and add a second floor?

I too would love a complete second floor but I've always thought it wasn't possible? It'd be great though
