I've heard it's starting later than the 6th, as there is construction delay issues at the house. So I think the third week of May sounds plausible.
Plus, I've always thought the 6th May Launch was a bad idea. Not only will it be competing with BGT, but the general election will tamper the ratings of the first highlights show.
So, the first few days of the show won't rate very well.
6th sounds very very early too, I know they want a month break between CBB, but even a 2 or 3 week break would do, in between both series. Plus, if it launches on 6th, that means it will finish on 17th July.
I think it'll launch on 13-15th May. I have a feeling this year will be a Wednesday launch, like BB8 or CBB15.
So it could work out like this:
BB16 LAUNCH - WEDNESDAY 13TH MAY 2015
BB16 FINAL - FRIDAY 24TH JULY 2015
DURATION = 73 DAYS
3 WEEK BREAK
CBB16 LAUNCH - THURSDAY 13TH AUGUST 2015
CBB16 FINAL - FRIDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER 2015
DURATION = 30 DAYS
