Not really, given the show wasn't like that (well not to the extremely high and damaging extent that it is now) back in 2011-2012, when it was on 5. Especially during BB13 (the best C5 series).

True, but there are so many factors that come into play with the show (production, casting, tasks, boot order, reception to name but a few) that it doesn't really do a series as perfectly acceptable as CBB17 if you narrow down on one negative aspect so firmly, especially now that we've nearly grown numb to a set of rules so bizarre as Channel 5-era BB's

Well BB12 was a **** series so, y'know, maybe that proves my point?

I'd take a slightly dull series with strict rules over a crazy one with loads of manipulation personally. The latter leaves a sour taste

Wouldn't they mean the house when they say big changes?

BB15 and BB16 were also **** (some would even say worse than BB12).

And BB12 was only rubbish because of the casting. The production then was way better than it is now and had a much more consistent format.

tbh nominations twists in CBB really don't bother me, since everyone is getting paid anyway and I just want it to be entertaining for the month.

In BB it annoys me since everyone is actually competing to win money, so it's unfair if they start fixing it for certain Housemates or do pointless twists that get people who have done nothing wrong and were never nominated evicted.

Which is my point about not honing in on one negative aspect of a series

I could live with it in CBB.

But alol, I mean this is a production that managed to produce a series which was even worse than BB15 the following year. Like you'd have to be ****ed up to do that and they did it well, hence why I don't hold out much hope for BB17.

But literally the whole show is built on the nomination process in its current format, and so it's is a very important aspect.

It hasn't relied on regular diary room nominations each week since BB4 - formats evolve, and it's a TV show they're making here

That's not actually my point. Twists are fine - pre-planned, unbiased twists which we know about before they take place. However, rules are rules. When they do do nominations, they can't just change that rule to suit themselves.

anyway, this is just turning into a debate on the current state of the show (which isn't really all that worth debating about).

So yeah, I have a feeling they'll probably have another Tuesday launch again cause C5 aren't really consistent with their launch days like how C4 were with Thursday-Friday launches.

Ugh I hate when they randomly just post a video on the website about a nominations twist instead of explaining.

Ew that night when they posted that clip 'Helen has been evicted..or has she?' randomly at like 10 PM.

I didn't say it wasn't, but it's a part of the show now and there's no reason why they can't do it - it'd just be preferable for us hardcore fans if they didn't

Can the BB manipulation/nominations debate be over? We've been talking about it since the BB15 final and it's getting a bit old. So may you all please talk about BB17's possible launch date?
