I put a slash through it but then I spent part of my schooling in France and the French put a slash through their seven because a written '1' looks more like an Anglo Saxon seven.

I sometimes do it but not very often, 1s and 7s don't really look that alike unless you are doing elaborate 1s

Without. Arial has it without - 7 - and that's good enough for me .

Though to be fair, for betting slip purposes I prefer when people put the dash, so that they can't later try to claim that their obvious 7 is actually a dodgy 1.
