Oh please not this 'sharing the prize fund' nonsense again.

i agree with Ben on this point,as he said he was against it and it should have been a group decision.
Ben's point is that everyone has their own causes and charities and that it is a bit off for people to make a decision that the winner will do 'X' with the money without consulting everyone. Especially in a situation like this where people can't really say no without looking like a git.

He might have someone close to him who needs the money but, as he is more of a private person than the others who like to blab about every element of their life, he can't share that.

He is also honest enough to say that he's not happy with this situation. The others may agree and then not make good on their promise. He's just straight-forward enough to say what others may be thinking.

Besides unless the idea came from Josie or Corin, I'd suspect that it was someone sulking that they weren't going to win and coming up with a respectable way of taking away from the winner & looking good themselves in the process.

Yeah it was a rule of sorts however Craig never mentioned who he would give the prize money to until he actually had won.

I maybe have too many holes-in-the-brain Terry from infected mad-cow pies, so I'll take your word. My recollection was that he told the house (and ergo us) many times he'd give the prize money to a disabled relative so she could go to America for some theraputic treatment which was thought might help her condition.

The good Lord Archer would hire an expensive lawyer and do some more "time" in luxury Hotels er prisons!

Naturally writing another "best-seller"!

A bit OT, but my favourite found quote of the week when ribbing Benite's about Ben's idol:

Archer then had gone to Iraq on a fact-finding mission, where his chant of "Long Live Kurdistan" was mis-translated as "Bastard, Devilish Kurdistan."

Not at all, I think it utterly ridiculous that they are already discussing what to do with the prize money. The series isn't even at the halfway mark. Very presumptuous of them to assume that one of them might win it as there are still new HM to come in. Obviously whoever did come up with that idea is trying to curry favour with the more gullible viewers.

Yup - that was excessive on p1, in fact, I heard Steve specifically say that one of the prothetics was "borrowed", rather than allocated to him permanantly (i.e. borrowed from his local NHS Trust)

Prosthetic limbs are very expensive. And they need changing every few years as the stump changes, NHS trusts maintain stocks of them because people would need to take mortgages out to have their own. Its not like in the days of long john silver.

Cut a branch off the nearest tree and borrow a penknife.

Well that then makes sense that the leg is borrowed from NHS. Obviously each time he needs a different one they take that back and he gets another. Nothing wrong with that. Pointless owning one if it is going to have to be replaced every so often.

Wouldn't be surprised - she knows she hasn't a cat in hell's chance of winning, so wants to put the boot in for whoever does. Spiteful cow.

Heather Mills. Saying that in the divorce settlement Macca gave her a plane, and some Immac for her other leg.
