Chris Brown doesn't deserve forgiveness from the public because he's not even tried. He might have done what the court required him to but he's a famous person, the rules are completely different and always have been. I'm sure if his career continues to go the way it's going he'll eventually do something that causes people to largely forget about the assault incident, but it'll always be hanging over his head. And shame on Rihanna for going about "forgiving him" in the way she did. I still think she's been sucked back in to a cycle of abuse rather than being the forgiving one in this situation. I've boycotted her music as a personal protest, I can't bear to listen to things like Russian Roulette, which in all honesty just played off public feeling towards her in the aftermath of all of this, knowing that she's recorded something like Birthday Cake and completely trivialised all of that in one fell swoop. They're both idiots, I just hope she doesn't end up getting killed some day because of that man.

Didn't she also take back ashley for a while? she only knows her value as a human being connected with her value as a sex object to heterosexual men, so its not surprising that she would defend abusive heterosexual male sexuality.

I thought an abusive man was an abusive man , regardless of sexuality? But I agree she is no role model for showing young women what is and is not acceptable in a loving relationship.

I can't help myself to like "Turn Up the Music". I just find it a catchy song.
However, I don't like him as a person. I hate him and I really wish he disappeared. Rihanna didn't deserve the abuse and he should not be glorifying it in his songs. It's disgusting. I personally don't think Cheryl realises this. I think she thinks people hate him for what he did to her but I don't think she fully understands that he's shown no remorse and he's just an overall ****. It's a shame she had to say this because she will be slated for this completely. Really stupid thing to say. |

Cheryl should just stay out of it tbh, and shut her mouth. She doesn't know how they both feel, why is she piping up about something she isn't even involved in

He is very possibly the worst artist of all time. If he made halfway decent music, than we could talk

In Cheryl's defense, it's probably a bit unfair that this is a news story. She's got nothing to do with this situation.

I imagine she'll have been asked in an interview. A lot of celebrities get asked questions like this that seem innocuous and then they get turned into huge news articles.

Cheryl talking **** again, her and Chris are not particularly nice people anyway. Cheryl got success by the people she knows, looks and is not even the best singer in GA.
I like some of Chris songs though, but Rihanna is no angel either and if she has forgiven him like because the abuse happened to her it is her business even though in some ways it does send out a bad message...

When has Chris ever bragged or glorified beating her up? I must be missing something.
He's bragged about ****ing her and the fact she's become and industry hoe since. Freedom of speech..after all he would know more than everyone in this thread and everyone who hates on him if that I what she has become. Is he not able to mention her ever again? Who are we to say he has no remorse for what he done? Is it assumed because he tells his critics to check his Grammy award? Or because he doesnt tweet her every second of his life saying he is sorry and if she would take hisbcobfused soul back? |

Well I can't possibly comment on that, however if the issue is manipulating and intimidating your partner then surely its possible in both hetro and homosexual relationships? That was my point alex.

If he had any remorse for committing the crime, he would not be acting in such a way. Clearly, he's just pissed off that it's held back his career somewhat. He couldn't give less of a **** that he beat her to within an inch of her life and neither could she. That's up to them, but that doesn't mean we should all go along with their attitude. What he did was wrong, the way she seems to have let it slide is wrong and all the young people out there who look up to the pair of them are seeing that all play out. What kind of an impression does that leave on young people? |

It's to indicate that whoever wrote the quote/source originally made an error and the article is quoting it however that person wrote it, to show that they didn't make the mistake. For example if someone used your instead of you're, and I quoted them, I'd put [sic] to show that I'm not the one who used it incorrectly.
