Default \'Haters\'......

The word hate is starting to become annoying. For example, a lot of Aisleyne fans refer to people like me as 'Aisleyne haters'. Just because we don't particularly like her, we don't necessarily 'hate' her, and it's a bit of an unfair comment to make.

I agree, peoples choice of words here often leaves a lot to be desired.

I think the main problem is some people take the show far too seriously, quite a few members seem to love using the word 'hate', in my opinion you can't hate someone you don't even really know.

Yeah, same here. I mean, if you put it into perspective, it's a bit stupid to hate somebody for their actions on a gameshow.

Words evolve and adapt.

Obviously the word 'hate' as referred to a description of a feeling towards a game show contestant doesn't have the same venomous meaning as it does in real life. I mean they are BB Housemates, not violent and judgemental religious ideologists/terrorists.

I 'hated' Grace, and I still think she was a vile repulsive moose. But I certainly didn't HATE her in the real sense as she's wasn't even worth expending such strong emotions on.

So It doesn't bother me If I'm called a Hater.

I personally think we are more than entitled to use the word hate if we want to.

I know its only a tv show, but its not family fortunes though isit. We have been watching these people every single day for the past 2 months, and have got a good idea of what kind of people they are.

We will never know what the Housemates are exactly like, but i think we know enough about them to rightfully say we hate them.

Personally i dont hate many of the housemates, but i haven't really got a problem with people saying they hate housemates, i can totally understand it.

Ive never met Christiano Ronaldo, but i still hate the guy.

I agree. I've heard many people here say "Well do you know them? How can you really tell what they are like?"

In fact I think we probably know more about some of them than we know about some of the people we know in real life.

I try to avoid saying hate and when I see others use it I hope and take it to mean they dislike whoever.

You have to admit the level of frustration a housemate can drive you to is unbelievable.

I used the word hate on another post and having seen other posters opinions on the use of this wors I have decided to tone it down to dislike, or least favourite.

I agree with what smeggypants has said a couple of posts above me.

The word 'hate' is used too frequently, not just here on the forum, but in real life too. So is the word 'love'.

Can hate be good? Yes, of course it can. I'd rather take my hate out on a bunch of talentless, no-brain, Z-list celeb wannabees than on anything else. Watch BB, hate as many of these numpties as you want, shout at your telly when they are on and then bash away what little hatred you have left on your keyboard and this forum.
You'll end up a calmer, happier person and you wont have to take your hatred out on anything or anyone else. Pure therapy.

Well the thing people should realise is hate means hate not dislike. So if you don't hate someone say dislike instead. How are people meant to know what you mean?

People with at least a gram of intelligence will know by the context.

And we all know that Kevin the teenager doesn't really hate his parents does he?
