I did actually always say that I loved his stories but that I would listen to them taking them all with a pinch of salt.
Being fair, he is still a good housemate.

Not sure I would see it as lying, I think he does it to impress others actually thinking they will be so impressed by the tales and that they may like him more.
Clearly though it isn't the real Dexter we are hearing about from himself in the house.

Being a fake and a liar are traits that most people hate, ergo they dislike the perpetrators , but when it comes down to the entertainment value of what these people add to the show, love em or hate em, they do bring a certain amount of controversy that fuels the shows ethos and creates the kind of show most people like.

I'm not sure I can support Dexter now if what Holly said is true. It's disappointing. I know people fabricate stuff to get into the house on their VT's but they don't usually keep it going so strongly in the house itself when they get to know the other HM's and make friends. If you can't believe a word that someone says and don't know who they are, how can you tell if you like or dislike them? Like someone said, you might as well watch a soap opera.

I understand what you're saying but the lines were blurred a long time ago when it was common knowledge that "storylines" were being created and the HMs were being referred to as "characters"(behind the scenes). Plots and narratives were being created from the careful and judicious editing of footage to make viewers feel certain ways about certain "characters".

Why do you think LF is such a contentious issue?

I think most people do care what HM's whole personalities are like though. I'm not sure that a compulsive liar and deceiver could ever win BB. Hasn't happened so far.
