Just wondering if you think this will be the last BB...I don't know any of this stuff about people taking over/when contracts are meant to be signed etc, etc...
I didn't get to apply last year even though I tried but was having trouble with the file when I was trying to upload...idk it was being really annoying. I'd love to go through the audition process alone to see what it's like |

I hope not and think it won't be but I really strongly hope the next series is nothing like this one at all and a new production team are put in place with the emphasis more on entertainent.

On five maybe. Contract is up.
But earlier in the year it was reported that ITV2 want it, to replace TOWIE which is moving to a new ITV channel. |

They should not really be putting in people that are known to the press/public. Big mistake.

It was reported they wanted it to attract an audience to the new channel Towie will be airing on. Not to replace Towie on itv2.

Could conceivably be the last on C5 if other channels want to buy it.
But - so far as I know - by C5's standards it is a massive ratings success. So would they let it go? Everything has its price I suppose......... |

I don't think it will be returning to be honest.
If i does i cant really see anyone getting excited about it after this year. I am still watching this year but i just dislike so many of the housemates and the fact we haven't even got the 10 hours of live feed they promised shows they don't care. Further more they keep putting BOTS on later and later on the weekend. I mean putting it on at midnight is a clear warning sign a show is about to be cancelled. |

It will depend on one factor alone.
Certainly not on what "fans" on internet forums think but on..... is it making enough profit. Last edited by CaudleHalbard; 22-07-2014 at 06:20 PM. |

There's no doubt that CBB is more popular and, despite somtimes ludicrous fees paid to the Z-listers on there is, very likely, more profitable.

I think CBB is more likely to come back than the normal BB. Maybe just put those on one at Christmas and one in the summer maybe a bit longer than the normal CBB maybe

The launch of ITVBe – which is to feature lifestyle and reality programming aimed at young women – means ITV2 will start focussing on “unashamed entertainment”. And would like to get BB to replace TOWIE. All of ITV’s digital channels are overseen by Angela Jain, who was the commissioning editor for Big Brother in its later years on Channel 4. The news intensifies speculation that Channel 5 will be challenged for the rights to the long-running reality format, with its current deal set to expire later this year after the fourteenth civilian and fifteenth Celebrity series. The rumours could also indicate that Big Brother has become an attractive proposition in the UK TV industry once more. Almost all major broadcasters – including ITV – ruled out the opportunity to buy BB in the months after C4 axed it in 2009. ITV was last linked to BB in 2006, while the show was at the height of its popularity. At the time, reports claimed the network was prepared to put up an “almighty fight” to steal it. Bosses at C5 – which is still in the middle of a sale process – have yet to comment on whether they intend to renew its contract for Big Brother. You can only go on what you see! |

No. If this was to be the last though, then I'd hope C5 would at least say goodbye with their own version of UBB.
