[EU starts legal action over controversial UK Brexit bill]

[The EU has begun legal proceedings against
the UK over its plans to override sections
of the Brexit divorce deal it signed in January.
It comes after an EU request for the
government to remove controversial sections
of the Internal Market Bill passed on Wednesday.
The "letter of formal notice" could lead to
a court case against the government at the EU's top court.
It comes as trade talks between the two continue in Brussels.]

[On Twitter, Ursula von der Leyen said she has
had a "good phone call" with Boris Johnson where
they discussed how negotiations have
been progressing so far.

A joint statement issued by
Ms von der Leyen and Mr Johnson added:
"They agreed on the importance of finding
an agreement, if at all possible,
as a strong basis for a strategic EU-UK
relationship in future.]

Which is worth what, given he has placed a bill to parliament that breaks international law and his own agreement?

The Deadline has Gone.

Johnson is still in talks

The Date
Dec 31st 2020 stays the same

[EU leaders are not yet all on the same page when it
comes to how much they should give up or give in to get a deal.
Brussels keeps calling on the UK to make concessions but a
successful outcome will require compromises on both sides.]

[Thursday is that day - but
Downing Street appears to have moved back from it as a hard deadline.]

Wasn't the oven; it was the dodgy, lying chefs.
