Ninth resignation over Theresa May's Brexit plan

Scott Mann is just a
Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Treasury.

So a long way down the chain.

i think it's a more likely scenario to have another ref now than it was previously.

If the house of commons can't reach agreement between themselves on how to proceed then it should be a choice that then falls to the people. We will know more in the next week or so.

Referendum
was Explained as one off
back in 2016.

Nothing will change on that.

You do not get it ,Cherie.

There maybe a leader change
but no more referendum.

what was said in 2016 means nothing at this point Arista. The referendum voices are growing quickly. It will be inevitable if the parties dont reach agreement on the white paper.

Victory for Brexiteers as PM accepts changes to Chequers plan
The latest as the government accepts a series of amendments put forward by a group of eurosceptic Tory MPs.

Downing Street says no second referendum 'under any circumstances'
Former cabinet minister has backed calls for another EU vote
Ninth Tory quits role as Brexiteers pressure May to ditch Brexit plan

The government won the amendment vote by three, and Vince Cable and Tim Farron didn't bother to show up

Poor, poor form for a supposed anti-Brexit party

So yes, independence eventually will put more control in the hands of the tax-paying citizen, but there would be a major adjustment period I think... anyway, as a voter I would've never thought it would just be clean, cut and dry... seems natural that in order to move towards true independence, there would have to be some sacrifices made in order to achieve that goal in the long-term. The question is, are people willing to make that sacrifice?... and she seems to think she can speak for all folk here, which seems a bit silly since there was a campaign for/against it and millions decided to still quit the EU despite opposition.

That's why it's big business that is trying to over turn the result. I've never seen such blatant attempts to over turn democracy.

We go through a transition period after leaving the EU, which should be plenty time to set up alternative trade deals, and if it isn't, then the government aren't doing their job.
