Default The McCanns to be re-interveiwed over Maddy

Kate McCann will be accompanied by a lawyer for formal questioning as a witness TODAY and her husband will be interviewed separately tomorrow after further forensic tests have now been completed.
Police have previously said the McCanns are not suspects, they are now saying nothing.

These futher tests had taken longer because they were only 'partial tests' and had been completed by a UK laboratory. Washed sheets were taken from properties and these more complex tests could identify blood for instance. They have come up with information which a forensic scientist said said on TV this morning "Would lead to advancement in the case" I can't remember exactly how he worded it? Now to hear the McCanns are being re-interviewed it is all rather suspicious?

Let us hope that the McCanns are really being interviewed as just witnesses and not because they themselves murdered their own child.

Now named suspect

Don't know how I feel about this?

Are the Portuguese Police clutching at straws or is there REAL evidence from the Forensics?

If you ever get the chance to watch this movie Jackie - it is very similar to the McCanns situation - whereby the parent gets blamed instead of someone else. Many times the police can concentrate too much on the only available suspects.

It is a sad state of affairs. Here is the web page to that 190minute drama - Such a great movie to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116434/

I think Kate becoming a "formal suspect" is just a formality more than anything. She would have been arrested if they had evidence on her.
I don't understand why Gerry McCann isn't a suspect as well but as he is being questioned later today, so it may well be announced. I personally don't believe the parents had anything to do with the abduction or murder but when the police have nothing eles to go by they need to explore all avenues. I'm actually surprised this didn't happen sooner. I feel for the McCanns at this time though.

The worrying thing is it's one of the biggest leads since Madeleine went missing. Really hope their/Kate are not involved but right now it's not looking good. They wouldn't pull them in seperately for no reason.
