George Gilbey is known for his role on Channel 4’s Gogglebox – the show that watches people watch TV The first time George and his family appeared on Gogglebox, he was introduced as not having had a girlfriend for a year which made George think he would not ever get one again. Electrician George, nicknamed “Squeaky” due to his high pitched voice, originally moved back in with his mum and step-dad after his long-term relationship ended Gogglebox won the BAFTA for best reality and constructed factual programme this year.
