I found it amusing Friday on the winners show when David tried to say to Bob Mortimer he eats scotched eggs. Bob tried explaining they were scotch eggs but as David's IQ is only slightly higher than that of a canary he failed to understand. The sympathet bemused look on Bob's face was a picture. Goodness knows what he thought.

Yes, there is. Shall we just throw out of the English language any word that is a little bit difficult for a bozo to understand?

How about calling this the Big Brother Forumtched because it might be easier for David to understand?

Wow. Two extra letters, that guess what, added to the first make another word that means pretty much the same thing.
Call the Department of English Literature at Oxford before we are all doomed.
And then there is the argument for David's education, or lack there off, and possible learning difficulties. And where do we draw the line at what's exceptable to let someone off with who is less able minded and what we should keep paramount in the English Language.
but then again....
I'm not getting involved in this anymore.
I'm tired and have got my first day at college tomorrow.
And no, I'm not going to be studying the English language, so don't worry.

I preferred Bob saying "No, I don't have any" everytime Davina asked him if he had any questions for certain HMs. She still kept asking him!

David got half the show to himself. You'd think he won.

Yeh, I was just wathing a recording of the show myself and saw that - Bob is highly amusing in a subtle way. Loved him for years! P*ss taker!

So Mortimer, next time don't consult the OED, just go to Tesco's.

What I like about David is that he's so innocent and doesn't get that people are taking the piss. Must mean he's genuine then?

because you have that family with the last name "mortimer"
