The Big Four soaps enjoyed bumper ratings last night, according to overnight figures.
Coronation Street's double bill, which saw Ken and Peter's argument continue and Becky lambaste Steve for returning home drunk, pulled in 10.84m (42.6%) and 11.06m (40.4%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm - the soap's best ratings since November 2.
ITV2's repeats from 11.45pm added a further 187k (2.4%) and 222k (3.8%).
Meanwhile, Emmerdale topped the 8m mark for the first time since February 2 - and since series producer Gavin Blyth took the helm. Last night's instalment logged 8.35m (34.4%) from 7.30pm.
Over on BBC One, EastEnders nearly matched its Christmas Day numbers, drawing 10.79m (39.1%) for its episode at 8pm. BBC Three's repeat at 10pm added 715k (3.2%).
Doctors' first screening after its annual festive hiatus put in 1.83m (20.1%) at its usual time of 1.45pm on BBC One.
Following its New Year ratings lull, Hollyoaks returned to form, with its latest offering attracting 1.81m (7.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4. Its timeshift repeat on Channel 4+1 added 124k (0.5%).
E4's first look at 6.30pm was seen by 607k (2.5%), while a further 102k (0.4%) tuned in an hour later on E4+1.
Five's first post-Christmas Neighbours had 1.44m (7.9%) and its 7pm repeat on Fiver was seen by 152k (0.6%).
