View Full Version : Does anyone else wonder what the real Lady Gaga is like?

Her whole image is a persona and she is obviously putting on an act in order to not dissapear from the spotlight. I think she wants to keep herself to herself when she is "Lady Gaga" as was shown on Jonathan Ross... she wants to be someone who is secretive (Michael Jackson and Madonna) were the same when being interviewed generally.

the first picture shows how much or a "normal" person she is, that is the real her.
The 2nd picture shows that she can have fun, it would be nice to see this "Lady Gaga".
There also was a picture of her holding a baby, walking down the street, with no outrageous outfit or makeup, and she looks quite naturally nice.

Lady Gaga isn't an act. That's who she is. Those pictures you posted are from when she was 18/19, she just looks different and goes by a different name.
She is who she is now, she is not an act. She's awesome.

No it is an act. Recent pictures being released in the newspapers without the makeup and the outfits, smiling, walking down the street.
Lady gaga is an act, its obvious... and i like the act for her performing, but Stefani isnt like this.

I didnt say anything about me not liking her changing her name... because everyone does it.

Yeah I've seen those pictures. Just because she takes off her make-up and wears normal clothes doesn't mean Lady Gaga doesn't exist. Lady Gaga is what everyone calls her, no one calls her Stefani. I'm sure she still has the same personality traits as Stefani, I'm sure she's still like that. But that was 3/4 years ago, people grow up.

On the topic at hand, I never got way people say she's so ugly. She's rather good looking.

I know what MAZ is saying, and agree. \Everyone has an alter ego persona,when they are entertainers, lady gaga more so than most. Of course she it not the same as her on stage persona, or the person who comes in interviews wearing outrageous clothes and acting strange. Gaga would be a normal girl, she went to private school and everything. BUt that would be boring wouldnt it? It much better for her to be outrageous. No one is like that for real. Marylin Manson, Grace Jones, KIss etc, they all have public personalities.

Yes, i was talking about this with someone a while ago, she is so confident on stage, but when off stage she seems very shy. Its almost as if she has a split personaltiy

I dont have a problem with it though, infact im glad she does it. Stefani is boring and her music is crap (listen to the Red & Blue album) but Lady GaGa is amazing.

Lady Gaga is a well planned gimmick and the day her bubble bursts and the gimmick wears off, no doubt she'll attempt to release stuff as herself.
It's sad that just because somebody is different, people automatically assume it's an act. If she came on stage wearing jeans and a vest, nobody would assume she's an act.

Michael, she has created that persona. Granted, she is being consistant with it, but thats what will make her sell records, and be believable. She will always act that way, and try to be more and more outrageous, because, thats what people like about her.

Everything she does is very theatrical, and out there. I much prefer it, to the boring drones out there who all look the same, or copy someone else. SHe has her influences, Grace Jones is obviously one of them (that should tell you its not her real persona), but she brings in her unique style, and its enjoyable.

I agree that it's an act.. but to some extent.
I believe that the crazy costumes and quirky persona is a whole different person to Stefani.. however I do believe that Stefani genuinally is GaGa.. if that makes sense?
Kinda like Jekyll/Hyde.
I think GaGa is the creative/quirky/confident side to Stefani, who is just your average talented young girl.
Different sides to the same person.

I don't think LG puts on an act:), she's herself, not fake and eccentric which I really like about her. As for the fashion I say good on her for wearing it, if she likes it and is comfortable then who are we to criticise?.. LG wouldn't be who she is if she constantly worried about what public opinion about her would be.
Lady GaGa is a persona. That much should be obvious; she doesn't go by her real name, she goes by a performance name - ergo Lady GaGa is a persona. Case closed. I wonder what the girl behind the image is like though, Salv, I get what you mean!

Probably dull musically (Ive heard her work before she wrote Just Dance) but in the videos I posted she seems very nice and outgoing. In the MTV clip from 2005 she looked very attractive, with not much makeup on.
