Her whole image is a persona and she is obviously putting on an act in order to not dissapear from the spotlight. I think she wants to keep herself to herself when she is "Lady Gaga" as was shown on Jonathan Ross... she wants to be someone who is secretive (Michael Jackson and Madonna) were the same when being interviewed generally.

the first picture shows how much or a "normal" person she is, that is the real her.
The 2nd picture shows that she can have fun, it would be nice to see this "Lady Gaga".

There also was a picture of her holding a baby, walking down the street, with no outrageous outfit or makeup, and she looks quite naturally nice.

Lady Gaga isn't an act. That's who she is. Those pictures you posted are from when she was 18/19, she just looks different and goes by a different name.

No it is an act. Recent pictures being released in the newspapers without the makeup and the outfits, smiling, walking down the street.
Lady gaga is an act, its obvious... and i like the act for her performing, but Stefani isnt like this.

Yeah I've seen those pictures. Just because she takes off her make-up and wears normal clothes doesn't mean Lady Gaga doesn't exist. Lady Gaga is what everyone calls her, no one calls her Stefani. I'm sure she still has the same personality traits as Stefani, I'm sure she's still like that. But that was 3/4 years ago, people grow up.

If she wants to be Lady Gaga and not use her real name Stefani, I'm sure it's her own decision and I'm sure her Dad still calls her Stefani. It's not an act at all because she isn't different on or off stage and those pictures are wayyyyy old that's before she got a record deal and went by the name Lady Gaga. She was young, having fun. Now she's reached where she wants to be and is staying like it. She's Lady Gaga. She's Stefani. End of.

Well of course she's not gonna walk down the street in Gaga clothes, they're hardly suited for day to day business aren't they? I think Lady Gaga's just another side to her personality, you get it a lot in performers they create personas and such to rid themselves of inhibitions.

On the topic at hand, I never got way people say she's so ugly. She's rather good looking.

I know what MAZ is saying, and agree. \Everyone has an alter ego persona,when they are entertainers, lady gaga more so than most. Of course she it not the same as her on stage persona, or the person who comes in interviews wearing outrageous clothes and acting strange. Gaga would be a normal girl, she went to private school and everything. BUt that would be boring wouldnt it? It much better for her to be outrageous. No one is like that for real. Marylin Manson, Grace Jones, KIss etc, they all have public personalities.

I'm a huge Lady GaGa fan but I dont know how anyone can think that Lady GaGa is a real person..?
Lady GaGa is Stefani Germanotta purposely wearing over the top costumes and acting a little strange. Stefani created Lady GaGa and decided she was going to be Lady GaGa right before she got famous. I dont have a problem with it though, infact im glad she does it. Stefani is boring and her music is crap (listen to the Red & Blue album) but Lady GaGa is amazing.
