Molly Dobbs's Coronation Street love triangle is to take a new twist later this year when she is left fighting for her life following a car accident, it has been revealed.
The pregnant shop worker, played by Vicky Binns, will be in the car with estranged husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) when the incident takes place, the News of the World reports.
It is thought that the vehicle is sent tumbling down a hill after Tyrone swerves to avoid a cyclist when they speed away from a pub.
Unlucky-in-love Tyrone manages to escape the wrecked car and goes to search for help, unaware that Molly's former lover Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) has been following behind them.
Both Tyrone and Kevin will then be left to wonder whether Molly will pull through and they are also plagued with worries over the health of the unborn baby, who they both believe is their own.
The car crash is expected to air on the ITV1 soap in late spring.
