Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati has rallied her soap star pals to help send a young cancer sufferer to Disneyland Paris.

The actress, who plays Sunita Parekh in the soap, persuaded co-stars to perform a comedy, music and magic show in Blackburn next month, the Sun reports.

The event, now reportedly sold out, is being held for five-year-old Madison Allan, who suffers from aggressive neuroblastoma.

Shobna took the youngster on a tour of the Corrie set.

She told the newspaper: "I have known Maddi and her family for years and can't put into words how brave she has been.

"I'm so grateful to the cast and crew. It's going to be eye-opening for people to see their Corrie favourites away from the Street."

Shobna, Malcolm Hebden (Norris Cole), Sam Aston (Chesney Brown), Vicky Binns (Molly Dobbs) and Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) are among the stars set to show off their skills at the event.

The variety show will take place at Blackburn's Thwaites Empire Theatre on April 18.

Nice to see them giving back
