Corrie's legendary Bet Lynch (Julie Goodyear) is expected to make a guest appearance for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations when the character turns up the funeral of a much loved Corrie character, who will pass away later this year. Producers of Coronation Street are expected to approach Julie Goodyear and offer her a contract to appear for a number of episodes. They have also kept tight lipped about which Corrie character will pass away this year, but it will come to a shock for fans a source says.
Julie Goodyear last appeared in 2002 in an unsuccessful return to the street.
I hope they're not killing Betty off?

Bets terrible. She was great but became (in real life) very up herself about her role as Bet. Put me right off. Hope they snub her. Sorry but I do
