I recently emailed Corrie, about the current scheduling of the show, today a spokesperson got back to me and said

"The scheduling and transmission of our production and its repeats are the responsibility of the ITV Network Centre"

"I will of course make sure they are fully aware of your thoughts about Coronation Street being moved around with little warning within the ITV1 schedule."

Sounds kinda like they're tired of the show being banded about the schedule, especially how they said they will make them "fully aware" and "moved around with little warning"

Lets hope the schedulers listen!

Harry Potter films arent sports (Or whatever is in its Friday spot) and Corrie has suddenly started being shown on Sundays, plus they can cut down on episodes ect.

Tbh, Corrie always gets higher ratings than the sports, they should axe the deal imo. Apart from the World cup

The Thursday slot is damaging ratings, EE's thursday episode always rates higher (especially as Corrie is in the 8:30 slot and not the 7:30 slot, though that is to avoid scheduling conflict with EE) the two Sunday episodes no doubt will damage ratings

Yes But ITV1HD is the Future
and has got more power over it, it seems.

ITV1HD is now on Sky, Virgin, FreesatHD and FreeviewHD
so more than 8million could watch it.

So pissed of I dont have ITV1HD ffs !

And Is corrie being moved about because of sports then?
Ugh I hate when that happens to Eastenders but your lucky that its still on tbh, usually when theres a stupid football match on they just ignore and cut off Eastenders for that day all because of some pointless football.

Soaps >>> Sports
:p

There's not even a proper reason for it to be moved

He'd kinda already quit, he has just been making guest apperances now and again

Yea, he wanted to quit before, but bosses convinced him to stay on until December when the 50th anniversary specials were going on. So it's no big surprise.

As said above though, it's not even advertised. I'd have had no idea of the Sunday shows had I not read it here

Indeed, I'm glad they shared their opinions in the email, rather than the run of the mill "we will send opinions ect" reply you usually get from TV companies xD
