What happened to the support for the Lib Dems?

It's a shame, it isn't a wasted vote if you believe in the person you vote for is the one who you trust, no matter who they are, it would have shook parliament up to have a higher number of Lib Dems in the commons

It was a brief bit of glamour for the party because they'd otherwise been a fringe party with no real support. It was very easy for Clegg to appear as "the alternative" vote but when push came to shove, noone actually knew the Lib Dems' policies, and there is and always be an air of uncertainty about them.

Plus I think a lot of the supporters were underage and incredibly gullible, naive people.

I overlooked all three party's policies before voting (I was tempted to vote politically for Lib Dems) but their policies did seem quite unrealistic, such as scapping tutition fees for University, sounds good on paper, until you get the thought "where would the money come from to fund the University" they did seem to have quite a few unrealistic policies, where as Tories and Labour were more realistic

Or we are actually aware of Lib Dem's policies and are interested in giving them a chance. It's unfair to say we are gullible and naive because I know for one I support Clegg because of his policies not just because I want to sap up what he has to say for the crack. :nono:

I think it's too early for change. We're still in a very dangerous zone with the economy and I think we need to be in a safe zone before a big change comes. Labour have the experience and I think that they can get us out of the slump - I'd be open to the conservatives in the next election though - When we are out of the economic downturn.

Don't know about reducing the age, I know it sounds ageist but alot (not all) would abuse their vote and vote for the Loonies or the BNP for the 'lols'

I note Cleggy boy is talking to Cameron NOT Brown, the reason being is that the Labour Party does NOT have the mandate to govern, and Clegg knows it.

The most amusing thing that has come out of this election for me is that the Scots have stuffed themselves by voting almost uniformly for New Labour, and will now be in the position of having virtually their entire bunch of MPs relegated to the back benches as the opposition! Lol.
