Ep 7346 - Monday 24th May
Knowing Gail desperately needs a witness, to back her claims that she got off the boat before Joe sailed, David decides to head back to the Lakes to find the Polish cleaner they met in the cottage. Nick refuses to go along with his plan, aware funding a false witness could make matters worse. But David’s steadfast and eventually Nick agrees to help. David’s grateful but reiterates it’s cash he needs if he’s to bribe a witness. Will Nick fund David’s plan?
Meanwhile Ken and Deirdre visit Tracy in prison in a bid to find out what she’s said about Gail. When pushed by her family will Tracy stand by her statement that Gail confessed to her?
Graeme tries to apologise to Rosie for standing her up but she sends him packing. Heading to Tina’s he admits he chose to stay with her over Rosie and there’s an awkward moment as they both realise what this might mean. But will either make a move?
Elsewhere Carla’s under pressure as the factory staff struggle to get a big order out while contending with the leaky roof. She tells Nick it’s vital that today’s meeting with his contact goes well.
And Relations are strained between Roy and Hayley as she feels hurt by his constant insensitivity.

Nick empties the safe before rushing out to join a waiting David. Arriving in the Lakes they find Anka in a local pub and telling her they have a proposition they offer her a bribe if she tells the police she saw Joe throw Gail off the boat. At first Anka’s wary but when Nick shows her the £4k she agrees to go along with it. Giving her half the money upfront Nick drives her to the local police station. As they wait outside David starts to sweat. Will Anka come through for them and throw Gail a lifeline?
Carla’s furious to hear Nick has disappeared and when his contact Paul Stokes arrives she’s forced to try and seal the deal herself. As Carla turns on the charm Paul flirts back, assuming a visiting Trev is an under manager. Desperate to keep Paul interested Carla doesn’t correct him and as the three head for a drinks meeting Trev is forced to play along. Will they pull off the deal that could save the factory?
Having seen Graeme going into the flat an angry Jason barges in determined to talk to Tina. With Graeme gone he demands answers but he’s taken aback by Tina’s fragile and softens. As Tina admits how she’s been struggling to cope and Graeme’s been a shoulder to cry on while she’s hidden away how will Jason react?
Roy’s stunned when Hayley tells him she thinks they need some space and she’s going to stay with Anna. Will he be able to convince her she’s making a mistake?

As David hopes Gail’s case will now be thrown out before it gets to court Gail’s surprised to hear about the new witness. David plays along when Gail calls with the good news and the family head to the pub to celebrate. Tina meanwhile has opened up to Jason and after thanking Graeme for everything he’s done for her she tells him he no longer needs to look after her. Graeme’s deflated while Jason’s given hope. Drawing on all her strength Tina then agrees to a drink in the Rovers but when she overhears the Platts discussing how Gail’s name will be cleared she’s horrified. As a blazing row ensues Tina stuns everyone with her new found determination to nail Gail.
Tempers fray at Underworld as Carla and Nick blame each other for blowing yesterday’s deal. There’s also unrest on the factory floor as the girls struggle to complete the Rickson’s order. When the dripping water then trips the electrics Carla fears they’re about to lose another major client.
When Eddie tells Cheryl that Lloyd’s into the older ladies he’s desperate to explain. Ensuring he gets to pick her up Lloyd turns on the charm but will Cheryl fall for it?
As Hayley stays at the Windasses she hopes Roy will make the first move towards a reconciliation.

The factory girls pull out all the stops and when Rickson arrives the order is ready. But when he studies it closely he spots mistakes and refuses to take the order or pay for services rendered. As he walks out Carla knows they’re in trouble and when she’s forced to admit to the girls there’s no more work all hell breaks loose. Sending the girls on an enforced two week holiday Nick assures Carla he’ll sort out the mess she and Tony made it.
Meanwhile Tony’s got plans of his own and as he receives communion in a prison chapel the priest places something on Tony’s tongue. Back in his cell Tony’s hands cellmate Robbie a SIM card before shaking hands as Robbie’s due to be released. What is Tony plotting?
David panics when the Platts hear Gail’s trial is still going ahead despite Anka’s witness statement which may not prove as conclusive as they‘d hoped. Are the police onto David and Nick’s bribery?
When Leanne meets Cheryl in the pub she takes the opportunity to play cupid and invites Lloyd to join them. They enjoy each other’s company and when Lloyd drives her home he moves in for a kiss. Will Cheryl respond?
Hayley breaks down, the stress of her separation from Roy clearly getting to her.

As Nick sets about his plan to turn the factory around Tony’s evil accomplice Robbie has made his way to Coronation Street where he watches Carla before heading to the café to size up Roy. Casually chatting about railways he easily disarms Roy and promises he’ll be back. Observing Carla and Trevor together Robbie then takes out the phone and calls Tony in his cell revealing everything is set. As Tony declares Carla‘s life will be ruined just like his we‘re left wondering what dastardly revenge Tony has in mind!
Nick and David are in a state of panic as they imagine Anka’s testimony falling apart under cross examination. Smelling a rat Audrey asks David outright if he had anything to do with the sudden emergence of a new witness. Will David crumble and confess all?
Meanwhile Jason tries to take Tina’s mind off Monday’s trial. They reminisce over a bottle of wine but when he goes to leave she asks him to stay. Will Jason take Tina back into his arms?
Back on the street Lloyd’s frustrated after his rebuff from Cheryl so when she calls the cab office asking for a driver to be sent but not him he ignores it and races off. He’s surprised to find Cheryl with a 10 year old boy, her son Russ. But he’s even more surprised as Cheryl admits she’s married!
